so it took me so long to write been busy with my regular job,
well here you go the outcome of the cherry blossom tree cake
i was making, i decided to switch the style only because my dad
wanted merengue instead of buttercream and fondant. word to wise
DON'T USE MERENGUE!!!!
the hardest frosting to cover a cake it took my mom 45 minutes to
cover and still didn't look smooth, so i learned my lesson don't listen
to dad and stick with what i know. anyways the cake is a yellow coconut

Marshmallow Fondant Recipe
8 or 10 Oz. Mini Marshmallow
2 Tablespoons Of Water
4 Cups of Powdered Sugar (you will need a 2 Pound Bag)
Add the Marshmallow to a microwave safe bowl and add the 2 tbsp of water, place bowl inside the microwave and start at 35 second, when you remove the bowl you will see that the marshmallow got a litte puffy, hold on don't add sugar yet!!! place the bowl once more into the microwave and add an extra 35 seconds, when it is done you will see the marshmallow got really smooth and liquidity. Now you are ready to add the sugar. STOP!! don't add the all 4 cups in , add one cup at a time leaving the 4th cup aside because you will use it to knead the marshmallow mixture into a ball. Once your fondant is ready you can starting using it or store it in the fridge wrapped in clear plastic wrap. In case you were wondering the fondant can last up too 3 weeks in the fridge after that i really dont recommend using it because it gets really hard and plus i dont like to use fondant that has been in the fridge for too long, but then again that's me.

Gum Paste Cherry Blossom
so after i was done making the marshmallow fondant and started on making the gumpaste cherry blossom and the butterflies, just so you know my mom and i are making a cherry blossom cake for tomorrow. i did a how to picture instead of a video because my son was awake and hyper so i figured a how to pictures would be better for now. so once i was done making the flowers i colored them with edible chalk to give them life look beautiful huh? then i painted the butterflies with edible 14kt gold dust. so tired it took 4 hours to make all the flowers and butterflies but i will say this it was well worth it. dont worry if you like how i made the flowers and butterflies please follow me and sent me a comment or email i will reply back. if you want a how to video please let me know i will make one for you! Happy Blogging!!!
